Quantum Leap # 1 -13

ENTRADA
Quantum Leap
"It all started when a time travel experiment I was conducting went... a little caca. In the blink of a cosmic clock, I went from quantum physicist to Air Force test-pilot. Which could have been fun... if I knew how to fly. Fortunately, I had help – an observer from the project named Al. Unfortunately, Al's a hologram, so all he can lend is moral support. Anyway, here I am, bouncing around in time, putting things right that once went wrong, a sort of time traveling Lone Ranger, with Al as my Tonto. And I don't even need a mask..."

"Oh Boy."

Sam Beckett leaps into Memphis remedial education teacher Karen Connors on March 25th, 1968, three days before Martin Luther King, Jr. is assassinated!

ITEM # Armageddon – The Alien Agenda # 1 - 4

The comic Armageddon: Alien Agenda is a DC Comics miniseries published between November 1991 and February 1992, written by Jonathan Peterson with art by Dan Jurgens. It is part of the Armageddon 2001 event and features a science fiction and action narrative, mixing time travel, heroes, and aliens.

The central story revolves around Captain Atom and Monarch, two characters displaced in time. The plot begins in the dinosaur era, where both get involved with an alien race planning to destroy the solar system to open a wormhole that allows them to travel freely across the universe. Captain Atom discovers the aliens’ true intentions and prematurely detonates a charge that is part of their plan, which sends him traveling through time again.

Throughout the series, Captain Atom visits various historical periods, such as ancient Rome under Emperor Nero, the 19th-century American West, and World War II, confronting both Monarch and the aliens as well as numerous time-related challenges.

Monarch, in the context of Armageddon 2001, is revealed to be a future tyrant who seeks to stop a scientist, Matthew Ryder (who becomes the hero Waverider), from preventing this tyrant’s rise in the past. The story explores temporal confusion and Monarch’s identity, eventually revealed to be Hank Hall (Hawk), though Alien Agenda mainly focuses on Captain Atom and his battles against Monarch and the alien invaders.

The comic stands out not only for its time travel plot and fights against alien invaders but also for presenting Captain Atom on an epic journey through history, facing enemies and situations that challenge his power and knowledge.

ITEM # Captain Planet and the Planeteers # 1 - 12

This is basically an adaption of the first episode: Hoggish Greedly and Rigger are drilling for oil in a protected area, and their drilling wakes up Gaia, the Spirit of the Earth. Distressed at the destruction going on all over the planet, she calls in five young people from all over the globe, and gives each a powerful ring:

Kwame, from Africa, with the power of Earth.

Wheeler, from North America, with the power of Fire.

Gi, from Asia, with the power of Water.

Linka, from the Soviet Union (later to be referred to as Eastern Europe), with the power of Wind.

And Ma-Ti, from South America, with the power of Heart.

Gaia brings the five kids to her home base of Hope Island, where she tells them of their mission. After a quick recap of their powers, she sends them to do battle with Greedly and Rigger.

However, the kids --now called, "Planeteers"-- are stalemated: If they do anything, Greedly will spray the nearby animals with oil. The Planeteers then take Gaia's advice, and allow their powers to combine.

From out of the Earth comes Captain Planet, a blue-skinned, green-haired, and brown-eyed super-eco-hero clad in red. There is a glowing gold "Earth" emblem in the middle of his chest. He introduces himself to the Planeteers, and explains that he is their powers combined and multiplied, but while he is there, the Planeteers' rings are powerless.

Captain Planet then flies to battle Greedly and Rigger, and he wins. But then Greedly sprays him with oil, and Planet loses power. The Planeteers discover that if they clean Captain Planet of the oil, the sun will return his powers. They do this, and Captain Planet recovers. He captures Greedly and Rigger, who are turned over to the authorities. Captain Planet returns to the Earth, returning the powers to the Planeteers' rings with what will become his trademark cry:

"The Power is YOURS!"

ITEM # Bone #1 – 55 (Color Edition)

Bone is an independently published comic book series, written and illustrated by Jeff Smith, originally serialized in 55 irregularly released issues from 1991 to 2004.

Smith’s black-and-white drawings were inspired by animated cartoons and comic strips, a notable influence being Walt Kelly’s Pogo: “I was … a big fan of Carl Barks and Pogo, so it was just natural for me to want to draw that kind of mixture of Walt Kelly and Moebius.” Accordingly, the story is singularly characterized by a combination of both light-hearted comedy and dark, epic fantasy: Time Magazine has called the series “as sweeping as the Lord of the Rings cycle, but much funnier.” The series was published bimonthly with some delays from June 1991 to June 2004. The series was self-published by Smith’s Cartoon Books for issues #1 through #19, by Image Comics from issues #20 to #28, and back to Cartoon Books for issues #29 through #55 (the final one).

Guy Gardner is a comic book superhero published by DC Comics. He is a core member of the Green Lantern family of characters, and for a time (late 1980s through mid 1990s) was also a significant member of the Justice League family of characters.
He was created by John Broome and Gil Kane (who patterned him after actor Martin Milner) in Green Lantern #59 (March 1968), although the character was changed significantly in the 1980s by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton who turned him into a jingoistic parody of an ultra-macho “red-blooded American male.” This latter remains the character’s archetype to this date.
The character was not named after the NASA astronaut Guy Gardner, but after fan Guy H. Lillian III and writer Gardner Fox.
