ITEM 0096A # SHI – The Way of the Warrior # 1 - 12

Shi Comic Covers

Shi is an American comic book series created by William Tucci, first published in 1994 by Crusade Comics. The story follows Ana Ishikawa, a skilled samurai and assassin whose life is torn between two conflicting cultures and codes of honor—her Japanese heritage and her American upbringing. Blending martial arts, spiritual themes, and gritty action, Shi became one of the defining independent comics of the 1990s. Known for its striking artwork and strong female lead, the series gained a significant following and was praised for its depth of storytelling at a time when the comic book market was saturated with more conventional superhero titles. Over the years, Shi has been published by multiple companies, including Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics, and remains a notable example of creator-owned success in the independent comic scene.

ITEM # 0077A Batman Adventures – Mad Love

Harley Quinn Origin

Harley Quinn and Joker try to ambush James Gordon at the dentist office, but Batman gets the drop on them and even mocks Joker for being too predictable. They escape, but Joker's pride is wounded, and Harley can't even get a smile from him. Eventually tossed out with the hyenas, she blames Batman for standing between her and Joker.

In flashbacks, we see Harleen Quinzel’s past — her gymnast scholarship to Gotham University, her seductive manipulation of professors, and her eventual posting at Arkham Asylum where she meets and falls in love with Joker, breaking him out to become Harley Quinn.

Determined to remove Batman from the picture, Harley crafts a meticulous plan to capture him, dangling him over a tank of piranha. But Batman plants the idea that Joker would be furious if she killed him alone. Convinced, she calls Joker, who rushes to the scene.
