ITEM # Aliens vs. Predator – Three World War #1 – 6

Entrada
Predator vs Aliens

A centuries-old interstellar conflict threatens humanity’s very existence as a long-lost Predator clan stakes its claim for galactic dominance, intent on exterminating its rival clan, the selfsame trophy hunters who have plagued Earth’s history and every world they have touched. And if the advanced technology and military precision of this new threat weren’t enough, they have an even more terrifying weapon at their disposal — Aliens, weaponized and under their malefic control. This puts earthmen in the dangerous position of parlaying with the same alien warriors who have relentlessly hunted them, and who better to carry out the negotiations than Machiko Noguchi, the only human known to have spent time alongside the Hunters.

ITEM # DUAL

ONE SHOT
One Shot Image

When Bill Jensen was ten he made a bargain with the dark corner under his bed: if he whispered a name often enough, the name would answer back. Yasu was a name that smelled like the ocean and old coins, a friend Bill insisted was only for him. They climbed trees together, traded secrets, and arranged pretend battles against monsters they drew in the margins of their schoolbooks.

One afternoon, bored and reckless, Bill and Yasu traced a pattern on the underside of a cardboard box and sang a nursery rhyme they'd half-invented. The air tightened, like a hand around a throat, and something in the grain of the floorboards answered. By dusk three classmates lay silent where they had been playing, and the world altered its rules in the space between a child's shout and a parent's scream.

Years later, the accident had the weightless hush of things people refuse to speak aloud. Bill lived with the stain of that day like an old scar: it itched in thunder and faded in daylight. Yasu was quieter now, no longer a pocket of mischievous sunlight but a presence in the periphery—sometimes a whisper that tilted Bill's thoughts toward impossible solutions, sometimes a cold certainty that let him do things other men could not imagine.

Adulthood only made the catalogue of strangeness larger. They learned, the hard way, that the world kept private ceaselessly odd hours. In subway tunnels, a woman with moth-silent wings read a newspaper; at the corner cafe, a man with too-many eyes sipped espresso and nodded like a stray god. Bill and Yasu moved through the city like pale ghosts who had learned how to bargain for a life: a careful apology here, a necessary omission there. They learned to recognize the creatures that thrived between the seams of the ordinary and carried their secret names in the pockets of their coats.

Sometimes their power arrived with the banalities of the day—an elevator that refused to close until Bill thought the word that set a door to another room; a glance at a television that rewound time by a breath. At other times, it was a jagged, terrible thing that unstitched flesh from meaning. Yasu never explained how or why; he simply suggested, and Bill obeyed, because obedience felt safer than ignorance.

They made rules: never speak a child's name into a pattern; never unlock a door you do not understand; never pretend an apology can smooth the world into what it was. Yet rules are scaffolding around a truth that will not be contained. Bill discovered that power has appetites. It liked attention. It learned habits. It died a little when unused and grew noisy when fed.

On certain nights, when the city's lamps looked like a string of tired stars, Bill and Yasu would sit on the roof and watch the secret migration—creatures slipping past neon and fog, carrying their own grudges and griefs. A lonely tenderness took Bill then, toward a friend made of absence and insistence. He had lost boys to an echo of a game and gained, by accident or fate, a role in a hidden ecosystem that demanded both restraint and violence.

In the end, Bill understood that undoing what had been done required something more than courage: it required choosing which worlds to hurt so others might breathe. Yasu would murmur possibilities like seeds—some that sprouted kind things, some that bloomed in ruin. Bill would clear his throat and pick the one that might save a single life tonight, because sometimes power is only a ledger: what you take must be paid in small mercies, never in the coin of children's names.

ITEM # Daytripper # 1 - 10

Daytripper Comic

They were two of Entertainment Weekly's Top 100 stars to watch. They've won multiple Eisners and have worked with the top names of comics and pop culture from Joss Whedon (Sugar Shock) and Mike Mignola (BPRD: 1947) to Gerard Way (Umbrella Academy) and Matt Fraction (Casanova). Now, Brazilian wonder twins Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá return with DAYTRIPPER, a hauntingly lyrical series set in their native Brazil. Following in the tradition of master cartoonists like Craig Thompson, Paul Pope, and David Mazzucchelli, they craft a story about quiet moments that ask life’s biggest questions. Brás de Oliva Domingos, an obituary writer burdened by his father’s fame and his own dissatisfaction, faces a twist in the first issue that transforms into a profound mystery about the meaning of life itself.

ITEM # 0048A 75 Years Of DC Comics

DC Comics 75th Anniversary

In 1935, DC Comics founder Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson published New Fun #1, the first comic book with all-new, all-original comic material. What began as disposable media for children was soon on its way to becoming the mythology of our time, the 20th century's answer to Atlas or Zorro.

Over 40,000 comic books later, in honor of the publisher's 75th anniversary, Taschen has produced the single most comprehensive book on DC Comics in an edition even Superman might have trouble lifting. Over 2,000 images are reproduced to bring the storylines, the characters, and their creators to vibrant life as they've never been seen before.

Telling the tales behind the tomes is 35-year DC veteran Paul Levitz, whose in-depth essays trace the company's history, from its pulp origins through to the future of digital publishing.
