ITEM # Dead Corps # 1 - 4

Dead Corps - DC Comics 1998
Dead Corps DC Comics
Dead Corps is a four-issue limited series published by DC Comics in 1998. Written by Christopher Hinz with art by Steve Pugh, the story presents a dark, militaristic science fiction world where death is no longer the final frontier. The narrative follows a squad of resurrected soldiers—combatants brought back from the dead to serve once more—raising questions about identity, morality, and the true cost of war. Released during the late ’90s experimentation era for DC, the series stood out for its gritty tone, cyberpunk aesthetics, and unflinching commentary on military exploitation, making it a memorable entry in the publisher’s catalog.

ITEM # Dome – Ground Zero

The Dome: Ground Zero

The Dome: Ground Zero, published by DC Comics under its short-lived Helix imprint in 1998, is a science fiction graphic novel written by Dave Gibbons with art by Angus McKie. Set in a near-future Earth under the looming shadow of alien intervention, the story blends speculative technology with an atmosphere of survival and paranoia.

Helix was an experimental DC line dedicated to mature, thought-provoking science fiction, aiming to push the boundaries beyond conventional superhero storytelling. The Dome stands as one of its most visually distinctive releases, notable for its pioneering use of digitally rendered 3D-style artwork during the late ’90s.

Although the Helix imprint was short-lived, The Dome: Ground Zero has retained a cult status among readers who appreciate the intersection of speculative fiction, political undertones, and experimental visual approaches in comics.

ITEM # 0064A Witchcraft – La Terreur # 1 - 3

Ilustración evocadora de brujería e intriga
Isadore Hibbert arrives under the dim glow of gaslight, her heart a steady drum of fierce conviction. In a city where rank decides fate, her lover sits behind iron bars—detained not for a crime but for dangerous connections to the aristocracy. Fueled by romantic innocence and a stubborn hope, she seeks out the famed witch Catherine La Voisin, whose name moves like a shadow through market stalls and prayer rooms. Two mysterious old shopkeepers, their faces mapped by years and secrets, lend her shelter and whispered counsel: paths that lead into hidden parlors and back alleys where favors are traded like coins. Isadore's bid is as much a test of courage as of wit—each step toward La Voisin peels away the polite veneer of society and reveals the raw barter beneath. Whether she will bend the threads of power or be consumed by them depends on promises kept, subtle bargains struck, and the fragile force of love that brought her to this midnight doorstep.

ITEM # Peacemaker #1 – 4

Christopher Smith was born Christopher Schmidt, son of Nazi war criminal Wolfgang Schmidt. Chris’ father had been the enthusiastic commandant of the Schlasa concentration camp. Although Wolfgang Schmidt escaped prosecution at the end of the war, his crimes were eventually revealed. In desperation, and in the presence of young Christopher, Wolfgang Schmidt took his own life.

Christopher grew up as a troubled child, intelligent, but possessed by an inner rage. When grown, he enlisted in the military and fought in the Viet Nam war. In the midst of the tour, Christopher seemed to crack and opened fire on a village of unarmed Vietnamese civilians. He was sentenced to life in prison for his crimes, but was recruited later as part of a “Peacemaker” program to fight terrorists. Obsessed with his new mission, he sees it as a way of atoning for his, and his father’s crimes. But all the same, he’s giving a new meaning to the term, “loose cannon.”
