Prophet is a science fiction comic series originally created by writer Rob Liefeld in the early 1990s and first published by Image Comics.
The story follows John Prophet, a super-soldier from a future Earth who awakens from cryogenic sleep to find a drastically changed and hostile world.
Part of a larger universe involving enhanced warriors, genetic experiments, and futuristic warfare, Prophet’s adventures are filled with survival challenges, identity struggles, and epic battles against overwhelming threats.
Known for its intense action and the exaggerated, hyper-detailed artwork of the 90s, the series features muscular heroes, advanced weaponry, and dramatic, colorful visuals. The covers often depict Prophet in dynamic poses, clad in a purple armored suit, wielding swords and guns, surrounded by skulls, enemies, and scenes of intense conflict.
The series experienced a revival in the 2010s with new creative teams, expanding its scope and earning a cult following among sci-fi comic fans.
