American audiences have become increasingly familiar with international comix through European bande dessinée and Japanese manga translations over the past twenty years. Yet, vibrant and innovative comics scenes thrive across the globe, notably in Brazil, South America's largest country. Braba addresses this cultural gap with a single-volume collection showcasing cutting-edge Brazilian comics, curated by esteemed artist Rafael Grampá and editor Janaina de Luna. Produced by Fantagraphics in collaboration with Brazilian publisher MINO, the anthology features 13 compelling short stories by 16 trailblazing cartoonists, capturing the energy and creativity of Brazil's flourishing comics landscape.
