The legendary Shinobi returns! After its striking debut in the arcade, the Shinobi series exploded on Sega's home consoles and portable hardware. Building upon a hit franchise classic, Shinobi is now being brought to life on the PlayStation 2. Sega proudly revives the old-school classic this November, updating it with next-generation graphics, complex ninja attack moves, and intense high-speed action. Shinobi: The Rise of Hotsuma presents the untold story of Hotsuma and his battle with his brother Moritsune to control a cursed blade and lead a clan of ninjas. The comic’s events lead directly into the game, as Hotsuma begins his fight through the demon-filled streets of post-apocalyptic Tokyo. With art by the ultra-talented Paco Medina and Scott Allie’s adaptation of Sega’s screenplay, the issue also includes sketches, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content. This one-shot explores Hotsuma and Moritsune's childhood and introduces the soul-eating sword Akujiki, providing rich backstory for fans of the game. The final pages feature a stunning art gallery and exclusive interviews with the game’s creators.
